Let’s be real, while being in college, finances might be tight. Between paying rent, renting books and going out with friends, there’s little to no money left. And also, between going to class, drowning in homework and trying to have a decent social life, finding a part time job might be a little hard. So, here are a couple side hustles that’ll help you make money as a college student. But also, don’t forget to save money and be responsible with your finances.

Use apps that pay you for doing what you love

Your smartphone can allow you to make a little money here and there from the things you would normally do as part of your day to day life. Over time, these little bits can all add up to make a big difference.

There are apps that allow you to make money by acting as a mystery shopper, apps that pay you to watch videos, apps that allow you to make money by scanning your old receipts and even apps that pay you to go to the gym. Whatever it is that you like to do in your downtime, the chances are there’s an app to help you make money from it.

Take surveys

You opinion is extremely valuable and some companies pay you for taking their surveys. All you need is basically a computer, some free time and wifi. So, why not? You could take surveys while watching Netflix or when you just don’t have anything to do.

Do you see your peers struggle with a subject that seems to come to you easily? Then tutoring is for you. All you need to do is to find classmates that are struggling with what seems like second nature to you and also that are willing to pay someone to teach them.

I’m pretty sure almost every school has a tutoring service at their learning center. My old school had one, and they were constantly recruiting tutors. One of the best parts is that you can work on your own schedule and tutoring pays well. Another advantage is that when your students start noticing their grades improving, they’ll recommend you to others who are also struggling.

Turn your talent to blogging

In the last decade the blogging industry has become one of the most lucrative industries, but blogging is one of those jobs where you have to put a LOT of work over a long period of time to start seeing a revenue. But, it is TOTALLY worth it! So, if you know a lot abut an specific subject or just are passionate about something, you should start a blog!
