If there’s one thing I love more than fashion itself, it is gold jewelry. I feel naked when I’m not wearing earrings, my watch, or a necklace. But, I do not have an unlimited budget (yet) and jewelry can get expensive. It is extremely important for me that the jewelry I purchase doesn’t tarnish, otherwise it is a waste of money. My Peruvian mom ingrained in me that solid gold is always best, but that isn’t always financially realistic. This is why I did some research and looked for online stores that carry the next best thing to solid gold: gold vermeil, gold filled, and gold platted. So, here are 14 places to shop for affordable jewelry online where you can find good quality pieces that won’t turn green and will actually last.
I have personally shopped at all of these stores and wear their jewelry very often! I have tested their pieces for over a year in some cases, so you can trust me when I say they are high quality and will last. Below are 14 places to shop for affordable jewelry online.
Perri Foia
Perri Foia is a sustainable jewelry brand that launched in 2019. If you’re looking for bold, chunky, gold jewelry, this is where you should shop. They have a wide range of rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets to choose from. Even though the material they use is 14k gold platted brass, their pieces tend to last a long time and don’t tarnish easily. The only Perri Foia piece that I own that has tarnished is a ring, but I also used it every day for months.
Many designs are set with natural stones, such as rose quartz, lapis, and labradorite. Their prices range from $15 for an ear cuff to around $169 for bold chains. They usually have a sale section, where you can find pieces for up to 70% off, I got some rings during that sale at around $10 each.

Amoriana Jewelry
Amorina is a woman-owned small business. I came across this brand because Analuisa, the founder, contacted me for a gifting opportunity, and I have shopped there ever since. Analuisa designs the pieces, so you can definitely find some uncommon & new designs at Amoriana. She also started this jewelry brand with the mission to make it safe for sensitive ears & skin.
The materials used depend on the item, but it’s usually 18k gold-plated brass or 18k gold-plated sterling silver. They do not tarnish easily and the prices range from around $25 for a pair of earrings to around $55 for a necklace. Amorina also has sales here and there, if you sign up for their email list, you’ll get 15% off and if you go to the “last chance sale” section on their website, you can find pieces that are up to 60% off.
It is worth noting that Amoriana’s packaging is fully recyclable. We love a brand that makes an effort towards sustainability!
Monica Vinader
Monica Vinader is a bit more expensive than the stores mentioned above. This is because their pieces are made of 18k gold vermeil. Gold vermeil means there is a thicker layer of gold, which often makes the jewelry pieces last longer than gold-plated pieces. While gold vermeil is the most affordable material at Monica Vinader, you can also find solid gold and silver jewelry.
I purchased a pendant and a dainty ring from Monica Vinader back in 2020. I have worn them to sleep, to the beach, in the shower, to work out, and they still look like new. I’d say it is definitely worth the investment.
Linjer
Linjer is a sustainable and ethical jewelry brand since it uses recycled gold and silver to craft its jewelry. Most of their pieces are gold vermeil on top of sterling silver, this means it has a thicker layer of 14k gold than gold-plated pieces and it lasts longer. Their pieces are very dainty, delicate, and cute. In addition to jewelry, they also have watches for men and women.
I purchased a pair of hoops back in 2019 and they still look amazing! Linjer prices range from around $30 for a small pair of hoops to around $150 for a necklace.
They also sell some affordable diamond jewelry – but keep in mind those are only made out of 14k solid gold, which contrary to its name isn’t really solid gold. 14k gold is usually solid gold mixed with other metals such as copper and silver. Which is amazing for daily jewelry pieces but if you’re buying diamonds, you’d want them to be set in a higher quality gold. But that’s something I’ll have to write about in another article.
Daisy London
Daisy is definitely in my top five favorite jewelry brands. Not only do they design unique pieces but every piece is crafted with 100% recycled materials. In addition to that, they use eco packaging, are carbon positive, and for every piece purchased they remove plastic bottles from the ocean.
They carry a wide variety of styles, from pendant necklaces to chains, to flower designs, almost everything you can imagine. Daisy jewelry is made out of 18K gold plated sterling silver and sterling silver.
The quality is amazing! To give you an idea, I’ve had my Estée Lalonde Rising Sun Frame Necklace since early 2019, I was obsessed with it and wore it all day every day for almost a year. Now, I don’t wear it as often, but it still looks amazing. You can see some of the silver, since it is 18k gold vermeil, however considering I showered, swam, worked out, partied, and slept with the necklace on for over 10 months, I’d say it held up pretty well.
We all know sustainable brands tend to be more expensive, and that is also true with Daisy. A pair of hoops is around $80, and a necklace is around $130. But believe me when I tell you, if you actually take care of your Daisy items (not like me), they will last a very long time. And it is always a good idea to support sustainable brands.
Etsy
In my search for affordable and high-quality jewelry, I came across a few Etsy shops I now swear by. The key when it comes to shopping for jewelry on Etsy is to look for gold-filled jewelry.
Gold-filled jewelry is a thick layer of gold bonded to a base metal like brass. Gold-filled jewelry usually uses brass as the base metal, not sterling silver. Unlike gold vermeil, which is a thick layer of gold painted on top of sterling silver, gold-filled means the layer of gold is melted into the brass. This makes it water-resistant and more adequate for daily wear. If you’re interested in learning more about this process, here is a helpful guide.
Anyway, now that you know why gold-filled jewelry is key, below are three Etsy shops I recommend.
The Jewelry Standard – for necklaces
I was surprised by how affordable their necklaces are. Prices range from $20 to $45. The materials used are gold and sterling silver. Depending on the item, it might be gold-plated or gold-filled. Either way, you get a super cute necklace for a very affordable price.
Waves Jewels – for rings
This is where I shop for affordable rings, they have some classic designs, but most are bold and unique, with a few rings featuring certain gemstones. The rings retail for $25 on average. and you can also find necklaces and bracelets.
The Beige Lover – for earings
The Beige Lover has a wide range of bold earrings to choose from. They are gold-filled, made of an 18k gold layer on top of titanium. So, they are water resistant and you can wear them all day every day without worrying about them tarnishing. They are around $35 on average. You can also find cute rings and necklaces there.
Evie Jewelry
Evie is a small business founded by two friends, Erin & Eleni. They carry cute pieces that are 18k gold plated on a stainless steel base. Erin and Eleni, started this brand because they wanted to create a jewelry line that you can wear to the pool. The stainless steel makes it hypoallergenic, and recyclable, and it won’t tarnish or rust.
As for prices, their pieces range from $30 to $50 for necklaces, earrings, and rings. I own their puff hoops and their puff ring. They are the perfect puffy earrings to spice up your outfit, and both were only $65.
Mejuri
At Mejuri you can find cute hoops, chains, and dainty necklaces. Their pieces are very high quality and are made from 14K solid gold, 18K gold vermeil, sterling silver, or titanium. They also have a line with diamonds and other precious stones.
The prices range from $50 to $995 depending on the material: gold vermeil and sterling silver being the least expensive items and solid gold with diamonds being the most expensive.
I have purchased multiple pieces from Mejuri because they have such a wide range of items to choose from and because they are high-quality. My first purchase was made in 2019, and I still have those pieces. They still look amazing, with minimal signs of wear. Mejuri is also my go-to shop when buying something for Mother’s Day or my sister’s birthday.
Argento Vivo
Another place I love to shop for affordable jewelry online is Argento Vivo. I came across Argento Vivo at Nordstrom and fell in love! They have a huge variety of designs and are very affordable and high quality.
Their pieces are either made from 18k gold-plated sterling silver or 14k-plated brass. Their pieces range from around $50 to over $150 depending on the design.
PS. Although their product catalog is smaller on Nordstrom, Nordstrom has more sales, so you’re likely to find pieces that are more affordable there.
Aureli Gi
Aureli Gi and Perri Foia are sister brands and they launched at the same time! However, Aureli Gi is all about minimalist dainty jewelry. To reach 14k gold, their gold is alloyed with copper and silver, making the breakdown the following – 58.3% pure gold, 30% silver, and 11.7% copper. They also include diamonds and other precious stones in their pieces.
This brand only sells 14k solid gold jewelry, so you can expect their prices to be a bit higher – they range from around $70 to well over $500 if there are precious stones involved.
The items I love from Aureli Gi are their rings. The quality is amazing, they don’t wear out easily and they look delicate.
ASOS Design
While ASOS Design is not as high-quality, they are incredibly affordable. The materials they use range from zinc to copper, to brass. They don’t use gold or sterling silver. However, they carry the boldest designs out there for a very affordable price. So, if you’re looking for statement earrings to wear for a party or fashion week, you should check out their stuff. The prices range from $6 to $30 depending on the design and material.
And there you have it, 14 spots to snag affordable jewelry online that won’t break the bank or turn your fingers green. Each of these online shops has been a personal goldmine for pieces that add that perfect touch of spice to any outfit, without the worry of wear and tear after just a few outings. Before after all, accessorizing with jewelry should be fun, expressive, and most importantly, sustainable for your budget. Happy shopping for affordable jewelry online!
