Maybe you’re a college student looking for an affordable destination, or perhaps you’re ready to splurge on a bucket-list trip. Either way, I’ve got you covered. In this guide, I’m breaking down the best spring break destinations into four categories: budget-friendly, mid-range, full-on luxury, and underrated destinations.

Budget-Friendly Spring Break Destinations
Affordable yet unforgettable spring break destinations for travelers on a budget.
Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Playa del Carmen offers everything you’d want for a tropical spring break—crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches, and a lively downtown packed with affordable eats and nightlife. Unlike Cancun, it has a more laid-back vibe while still offering fun beach clubs, cenotes, and adventure tours.
Why go there? Gorgeous beaches, affordable accommodations, and great street food.
