Set your alarm a little earlier
School season is around the corner, which means you’ll have to wake up earlier than you do now. Start setting your alarm a little earlier each week. Instead of waking up at noon, try to wake up an hour before. And so on. By doing this you’ll get used to waking up early again and it won’t be bad the first day of class.Get organized
This includes, cleaning and organizing your room, deleting old computer files, shopping for textbooks + school supplies and more.Write down goals for the semester
Write them down and try to achieve them during the semester. Those goals don’t have to be school related, but just things you want to achieve. For example; get good grades, meet new people, join some clubs and other goals you might have. I always try to write down my goals to keep myself on track. This is something I started doing ever since I started college and launched my blog. I separate them by monthly and weekly goals to make it easier to achieve. And I should probably write another post getting more in depth about this. But I can’t stress enough how important it is to do this!Make a list of things to do before school starts
Just write down the things you want to do and try to do them. By writing them down you’ll get organized and you won’t have an excuse to forget them anymore. Â You should also check out my Last Minute Summer Bucket-List.Take a look at your textbooks
I know what you’re thinking. Why should you look through your textbooks if school hasn’t begun yet? Well, it is better to go to a class and have an idea of the school material you’ll be using and of the things you’ll be learning about throughout the year, than showing up to class without no clue about anything. It’s something my dad always told me to do, even though I almost never did. It was helpful while in high school, but not so much in college.Get school supplies
My favorite part of going back to school, has always been buying school supplies. But, let’s be honest, we all love this! Even though, it can be pricey sometimes. Which is why it’s really important to only buy what you need… and here are some other tips to save money on school supplies. And below are some of my must-haves for every school year.Get a planner
Yes, you read right. Get a planner! School life can get busy, you may end up having more homework than last school year. And you’ll have more things to do if you belong to some club. You might be telling yourself, you can remember all of those events, tasks, essays, etc. Let me tell you, you won’t, you may remember some of those things, but you’ll certainly forget most of them. So, trust me, get a planner and actually use it. Do you have any other tips to get ready for school? Leave a comment below!
