As a shopaholic myself, I’ve found some online shopping hacks that help me save money and make my overall experience better. Below are those tips and I hope they’re helpful for you too!
Always read costumer reviews
Especially if it’s your first time purchasing from that retailer or store. By reading reviews you can learn more about the item and have a better idea of how it looks in real life. Because you definitely want to avoid at all costs to buy something only for it to look completely different than in the picture. It has happened to the best of us.

Use Honey
Honey is pretty much my secret weapon when it comes to online shopping. It is basically an extension you add to safari or google chrome and when you’re ready to checkout, it searches for coupon codes online. It has helped me save so much! Besides, every time you use it you gain gold points towards a gift card – 1000 gold points equal a $10 gift card. You can redeem your gift card for Amazon, Sephora, eBay, Target and more.
Click here to join, by using this link you can get 500 gold points when you make your first purchase using Honey.
Sign up for newsletters
If you sign up for the newsletters, you’ll be the first one to find out about sales and discounts available! Besides, some stores even offer up to 15% off your first purchase just for signing up!
Wait before purchasing
This is not necessarli a shopping hack, however it helps me control myself and my shopping addiction. I don’t actually have an addiction but I love shopping. And when I see something I want, instead of immediately placing an order, I wait a couple days and if I can’t stop thinking about that item i WANT, I’ll purchase it. But what usually happens os that i forget about it and end up not spending anyhitng.
Compare prices
If you’re looking for an item that might be available in different retailers, you can use the extension PriceBlink to compare prices.
Another way to find another reatilers selling the product you want is to double click or right click on the image and click “Search Google for Image”. Below I found different retailers that carry the Keurig I want.
Make sure returns are free
Having to pay for returns is the worst thing! Always look for stores that offer free returns.
Abandon your cart and you’ll get discount on your email
If you’re not in a rush, it’d be a good idea to leave the items in your cart and not purchase them immediately. Soon, you’ll get a follow-up email offering a discount code for the items you wanted to purchase.
Wait for festive seasons
Holiday season is right around the corner and there’ll be tons of sales, not to mention Black Friday and Cyber Monday. So, instead of buying things now, just sign up for the email lists and wait patiently.
