This post is sponsored by eDiva but, all text and opinions are mine
Not long ago, the jade roller trend was ALL over Instagram. And I still see a couple posts here and there talking about how awesome jade rollers can be. So, I was definitely curious and decided to hop on the trend, fashionably late, of course. eDiva sent me their Jade roller and I used it for 1 week to see if it really worked. So, this post is about me telling you my personal experience with it.
I’m not that a skincare junkie, so I wasn’t interested at all when the jade roller trend rolled in (no pun intended). But then I heard all about the benefits and that caught my interest. It is supposed to reduce dark circles around the eyes and I tend to have those, not because I don’t sleep but it’s my genetics!
Benefits
As mentioned before, jade rollers have a lot of benefits and the ones below are some of them!
- Improves wrinkles and fine lines
- Reduces puffiness and dark circles around the eyes
- Stimulates blood flow and oxygen
- Helps absorb creams, serums and oils
- Relives facial tension, headaches and sinus pressure
- Tightens, smooths and sculpts the skin
- Eliminates toxins through lymphatic drainage
How to use the roller
The first thing I did after receiving the roller, was to research all about it online. After all, I had NO IDEA how to use it. I was basically just rolling it on my face and waiting for magic to happen… eDiva’s Jade Roller does come with a small guide of ways you could use it on your face and neck, so that was really helpful!
There are, certainly, a LOT of different techniques to use the jade roller. I found this article with videos on how to use it and that was basically a life savior! It’ always easier to learn something new when there’s a video involved.
I like to use it twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. I use it with my creams and serums, since it helps your skin to absorb them. And also it helps to depuff your face. Do you have those mornings were you can’t even recognize yourself and you feel your face somehow swollen? Well, this definitely helps with that! And it is also SO relaxing! I completely love it.

Takeaway
The first time I used the roller, I literally saw my dark circles clearing up. Like, I was rolling it on the dark circles of my left eye and then when I moved on to the other eye, my left eye dark circles were gone! I was shocked. I did pop the jade roller in the fridge for 5 minutes before using it though, because I read it’s more efficient that way. Anyways, after that, I was obsessed.
After one week of using it, I didn’t noticed a difference in my fine lines, maybe because I don’t have that many or any… but hey, it’s never too early to prevent wrinkles. What I did noticed was that my creams, serums and oils did absorb SO MUCH better!! I have this one night cream that’s a bit greasy and takes a long time to absorb and when I wake up every day, my face is a little bit greasy. But, I’ve been applying this cream with the roller and now I wake up with a super smooth skin.
I can’t be sure if it actually helps relieves headaches, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it does.
eDiva’s jade roller also comes with this stone. It’s called the gua sha stone. Honestly, I had no idea this existed until now and I thought it was a stone to massage your arms or body (go ahead, make fun of me). But, apparently, this stone has been used for ages in the Chinese culture to help improve blood circulation and relieve pain. You’re supposed to scrape your skin with it, repeatedly and that’s what improves blood circulation, but it also can cause bruises. I’ve also found some mind blowing information I had no idea about, supposedly it also relieves hepatitis b and migraine symptoms.
I totally recommend eDiva’s jade roller! It has 4.8 out of 5 stars on Amazon and over 400 reviews! The price on Amazon is $27.97 and it’s totally worth it. However, they just launched their site, and they are having a launch discount! So, you can get the Jade Roller kit for $19.99!
