We all want to have a spotless, bright & flawless skin. There aren’t any magical pills or lotions, but there are ways that you can keep your skin looking awesome. With the right food and the right sleep and the right amount of relaxation, your skin will with no doubt look flawless.
Disclaimer: I’m in no way a dermatologist or a specialist in skin care, I’m just a skincare junkie! I care a lot about my skin and I thought I would share some tips with you!
Drink LOTS of Water
Yes, I know you’d probably rather hear wine instead of water, BUT hydration is so important if you want to look bright and breezy instead of dull and flaky. Water is essential for our overall health and also it helps out skin to clear out. So, start drinking water! Two litters or 8 glasses of water per day are enough and try to step away from the alcohol. I know for some that’s easier said than done, but just think of your skin. Also, if you’re always forgetting to drink enough water, there’s an app I use to remind me to drink water called My water available in IOS. And I love it!! You could get a water bottle bottle with little reminders. Click here to get the one I have, the one below! And here for a more affordable Amazon alternative.
Antioxidants
The best thing that your body needs to fight aging is antioxidants. Inflammation in the skin can lead to dimpling and wrinkling, and no one wants that. So, try to consume foods rich in antioxidants, and overall a balanced diet. That way, your skin will thank you and you’ll get the energy you need.
Eat a Rainbow
Yes, literally. You need as many nutrient-rich foods as you can get, and consuming fruits and vegetables of a variety of colors every day can help you get the nutrients you need. If you’re lacking in your fruit and vegetable intake, eat by colors. Bananas, oranges, apples, raspberries, blueberries all of these. Also, try to avoid greasy and processed foods.
Be consistent with your skincare routine
For a skincare product to actually work, it has to be used consistently over time. Applying moisturizer only once won’t magically make your skin softer. You need to apply it every day for a long period of time to see long-term results. Once you find a skincare routine you can stick to and that works for your skin, make sure to do it religiously every morning and night.

SPFantastic
Ugh, I know putting sunscreen on can sometimes be tedious, especially when it leaves your skin feeling greasy. I get it, I’ve been there. But it doesn’t have to be like that, you just need to find the right sunscreen for your skin type. Wearing sunscreen has seriously so many benefits. And exposure to too much sunlight is not good for the skin AT ALL. That sun-kissed look isn’t exactly the healthiest thing for your skin even though it looks great. Wear sunglasses and a wide hat and wear lotion with a high SPF every day, yes during the winter too. And no, the SPF in your foundation is not enough.
My favorite sunscreen ever is from Coola, because it isn’t greasy at all and works well as a primer. Click here to shop!
Sweat
Exercising is really good not only for your health but for your skin. We all know this, but if you work out every day you’re going to give your skin a chance to clear out. You also increase the oxygen around the body, plumping out those wrinkles massively! So, don’t be lazy and hit the gym!
I hope this simple tips work for you as they worked for me! They’re really really simple and easy to follow. For some it might be easier said than done, put if you out in the effort, it’ll pay off and you’ll have an maintain a flawless skin! If you have any other tips, I’d love to hear them!
