Personal note: Such a funny and wholesome show. It’s easy to watch and you’ll constantly laugh with every episode.
Fisk

Personal note: Fisk is more of a dry humor type of show. It is very funny and easy to watch, and I can’t wait until they release more seasons.
That 70’s Show

What it is about? Set in the mood ring and polyester era of the 1970s, the show is a retro-hip situation comedy about a group of teenage friends. The group lives in the suburbs of Wisconsin.
Personal note: I have binge-watched this show and I love it. it’s funny, goofy, and easy to watch. Besides, each episode is only 20 minutes long.
Ginny & Georgia

What is it about? Free-spirited Georgia and her two kids, Ginny and Austin, move north in search of a fresh start but find that the road to new beginnings can be bumpy.
Personal note: This show was nominated for the Emmys, so you know it’s good! I think it is more of a dramedy. It keeps you on your toes and makes you laugh at the same time.
The Office

What is it about? A mockumentary on a group of typical office workers, where the workday consists of ego clashes, inappropriate behavior, and tedium.
Personal note: I have tried liking this show in the past but it never worked out. But, since it’s so popular I’ll give it another try.
New Girl

What it is about? Jess, a bubbly, off-beat teacher, catches her boyfriend with another woman. Newly homeless, she moves into a loft with three single guys she’s never met before. Nick, a jaded, law-school dropout; Schmidt, a flashy and eccentric businessman; and Winston, a former athlete who doesn’t know what to do.
Personal note: I love this show even though the secondhand embarrassment is sometimes too much. But it is hilarious, and easy to watch, so you can put it in the background while you work or do things around the house.
Sex Education

Personal note: This is such a funny and awkward show. Would recommend it.
Frasier

What it is about? Frasier Crane, a successful Boston therapist, moves to Seattle to get a new start on life. He has a radio talk show, which he uses to relay his wit and wisdom to others, but at times he struggles with his own problems with his salt-of-the-earth father, his pretentious brother, and his friends and co-workers.
Personal note: This is one of my all-time favorites. It’s from the early 90s and it’s incredibly funny. There was a reboot in 2023 and you can watch it on Paramount+.
Arrested Development

What it is about? Michael Bluth finds himself forced to stay in Orange County and run the family real estate business after his father, George Bluth Sr., is sent to prison for committing white-collar crime. He tries to juggle the wants and needs of his spoiled and eccentric family while being a good role model for his teenage son, George Michael.
Personal note: This is a funny, but very stupid show. I enjoyed it but if you like watching something with more substance, skip this one.
The Good Place

What it is about? When Eleanor finds herself in the afterlife, she’s both relieved and surprised that she’s made it into the Good Place. Her seemingly perfect neighbors, Tahani and Jason, and open-hearted soul mate, Chidi, help her realize that it’s never too late to change.
Personal note: At first, I thought the show was somewhat stupid, however as keep watching, very important philosophical topics are discussed, such as what is considered good and why. An interesting show!
The Mick

But nothing in life is free, and “everything” includes guardianship of her sister’s three ill-mannered children.
Personal note: I honestly wish this show didn’t get canceled. It is easy to watch and perfect to have on in the background.
Seinfeld

Grey’s Anatomy

Personal note: This show can make you die of laughter and then cry your eyes out in the same episode. A must-watch! Also, how are there 20 seasons? If you’re looking for a long show to watch for years, then there’s not longer show than Grey’s Anatomy.
Gilmore Girls

Personal note: A classic every girl must binge watch.
Jane the Virgin

Personal note: Such a funny show that takes a dramatic turn with every season.
Dynasty

Personal note: I watched the first three seasons and then it honestly got too repetitive and dramatic for me.
Riverdale

What is it about? The show follows the lives of elite real estate brokers at The Oppenheim Group, a high-end brokerage firm in Los Angeles. The series explores the drama between agents as they compete for clients and properties.
My Unorthodox Life

What is it about? My Unorthodox Life is a reality series on Netflix that follows the personal and professional life of Julia Haart. Haart is a former ultra-Orthodox Jew and CEO of a modeling agency and fashion company. The series also features her adult children.

Personal note: I watched the first three seasons and I think the show just decreased in quality with every season…
Love Island USA

What is it about? The hit British dating show lands in America with a new group of singles who pair up, break up, and do more for a chance to win cash — and love.
Personal note: I got invited to the launch event in NYC in 2019 and watched the show. I’ve heard the UK version is better than the US one. You can also watch Love Island UK on Netflix, but not all seasons are on there.
Next in Fashion

What is it about? A reality show and fashion design competition series; hosted by designers Tan France and Alexa Chung in the first season and Gigi Hadid in the second. Similar to Bravo’s Project Runway, the contestants are all professionals who have been dressing celebrities and working with major fashion houses.
Personal note: I love fashion, so this show was amazing to me. But, there are mixed reviews, some saying there wasn’t enough camera time to see the design process. The show also got cancelled…
Drama
Suits

What it is about? After impressing a slick lawyer with his razor-sharp mind, a college dropout scores a coveted associate job, even though he has no legal credentials.
Personal note: This is one of my favorite shows ever. It is funny, very interesting, and aspirational.
How to Get Away with Murder

What it is about? A sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller about a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant, mysterious criminal defense professor. They become entangled in a murder plot that will shake the entire university and change the course of their lives.
Personal note: I will rewatch this show again, it is that good!
Shameless
Year: 2011

What it is about? This dramedy based on a British series centers on siblings in a dysfunctional Chicago family who struggle while coping with their alcoholic father. The eldest daughter Fiona has to raise the rest of the family on her own.
Personal note: I enjoyed watching the first couple of seasons, but then it became too much for me. After watching this show, I felt so negative and uninspired.
The Crown

Peaky Blinders

Personal note: I have tried my best to watch this show because everyone raves about it, but I cannot seem to get past the first episode. So keep in mind, it starts slow.

Personal note: This show is somewhat similar to Suits in the sense that it revolves around the life of a lawyer, however, there is more action in this one. I can’t wait for season 3 to be released!
Sweet Magnolias

What it is about? Lifelong friends Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue lift each other up as they juggle relationships, family, and careers in the small, Southern town of Serenity.
Personal note: This show is wholesome and easy to watch.
