I know every month I make the same promise: to blog more often and publish at least 2 blog posts a week. And Iβm so sorry for not fulfilling that promise! We all know I always struggle with time managementβ¦ but now itβs getting better. So, here I am, promising again Iβll start posting more consistently! I know you all still love me, at least as much as I currently love the neon trendβ¦
Neon has been trending for a while now and I believe it will stay until spring/summer. As usual, Iβm late to the partyβ¦ But here are some tips on how to style this trend, since this type of colors can be a bit tricky match.
When in doubt wear neutrals

Going back to the 1 or 2 statement items rule, if you are going to wear something thatβs neon try to match it with neutral colors. Like above, I decided to match my neon green turtleneck with neutrals. Including white pants, white heels and a plaid blazer. By neutrals I mean neutral colors not basic/regular prints. For example snakeskin has neutral colors but itβs not a simple neutral design and it also looks amazing with neons!
Feeling confident? Wear another statement item.
Thereβs no way you can get it wrong when wearing neutral items with a neon garment. But if you are feeling confident and like stepping out, go ahead and throw another statement item into your outfit! This could be a metallic puffer coat, leather leggings, a snakeskin coat, there are so many options!

If you have been following me for a while then you surely know about my 1 or 2 statement pieces rule. If you do, then you can skip this paragraph. But if you donβt, it is basically a rule I always refer to when choosing an outfit. Thing is, if you wear more than 1 or 2 statement pieces, your outfit may be too much. For instance, if you wear a leopard skirt, polka dots and then a statement necklace, your look might be too clouded because the focus point is all over the place and it can look a bit overwhelming.
And it gets even more tricky, because neon is a color and it can be treated as a statement items as well as a regular oneβ¦
So, I guess it depends on how you decide to style it⦠you can never go wrong with treating it as a statement item. But, if you wanna be bold then wear it with other statement items!
Also, never forget that you can always wear accessories if youβre feeling like somethings missing! Accessories can completely change an outfit, check out this post and this one for more info on how to accessorize an outfit!
You can never go wrong with black

Is there such thing as too much black on an outfit? I donβt think so.
This is something I always do when I have no idea how to style something⦠It is simple, you can never go wrong with black.
Anyways, I hope this at least gave you one idea or two on how to style this trend!
