I’ve adding so much color to my wardrobe lately and my favorite addition is these orange pants! To be honest, I used to avoid wearing bright orange tones, because I thought it was a color I simply couldn’t pull off. I didn’t own anything orange, except for a knit top from Zara I got as a gift. But now I own at least 6 orange pieces. And my last (and favorite) addition is these pants from LIT Boutique!
While these tips are specific to orange clothes, they work for any bright color. You can use these tips maybe a yellow skirt you don’t know how to style, or maybe a green blazer, literally any bright piece.
Also, the fluff ball’s name is Luca and he’s the latest addition to the family! He’s my sister’s dog and I’m the fun aunt that gets to play with him and spoil him all day long – at least until I move back to NYC. When that happens, I’ll probably cry at the airport…
Keep it simple
When styling these orange pants, I wanted to keep it simple but not basic. This is why I paired the orange pants with neutral tones, such as this nude top and these black-heeled sandals. To make this outfit more stylish, I added the cow print bag, which is one of my favorite bags and is only $18!

When you’re not quite sure about how to style a specific piece, whether it is a print or a bright color, the best thing you can do is keep it simple. And then maybe add a statement piece if you feel like there’s something missing. Also, never ever forget accessories!

Here’s another outfit idea with orange + neutrals.
When in doubt go monochrome
Another way to style orange pants or any colored piece is to pair it with other pieces in the same range of colors. Monochrome doesn’t mean every piece has to be the exact same tone of color, but rather different tones of the same color. In the picture below, there’s a wide range of orange tones from light to dark. I’d recommend sticking to the colors in all the rows but the first & last one. Just because those tones and shades are too light or too dark and won’t work for a monochrome look.
Below are a couple of outfit ideas on how to style an orange monochrome look. And honestly, I’m obsessed with these looks! Wearing a monochrome outfit, always look makes you look so polished and like you have your sh*t together. Also, you can add some color through accessories. Maybe add a light blue bag or shoes? Maybe try to add a brown bag?
Add (more) color
Aside from styling bright colors with neutrals or in a monochrome look, you can play around with other colors. On the color wheel, the opposite color to orange is blue, which makes it the perfect color to include in your outfit.
Personally, I would choose a pastel blue or light blue piece, rather than a navy or electric blue one. Just because I think it looks better and softer. But this is just my personal opinion, play around with your clothing and don’t be afraid to make weird combinations.
Another color combination I’m obsessed with is orange + purple. It looks sooo good and stylish!
