It finally feels like actual spring in New York, even thought it will rain this entire week! Just when I have spring break, the weather canβt seem to cooperateβ¦ Anyways knitted dresses are my go-to spring outfit for when I just have no idea what to wear or for when I just wake up way too late and have 5 minutes to get ready. Especially, for when itβs still a bit chilly outside and not warm enough to wear those breezy dresses.
The fun thing about wearing a knit dress is that you donβt have to worry about matching tops and bottoms, and basically any type of shoe will work with the outfit. Depending on the occasion and look youβre going for, of course.
Letβs say Iβm just running errands, Iβll just pair this Femme Luxe Knitted Dress with sneakers. But, what if Iβm going on a dinner date? Iβll pair this dress with barely-there heeled sandals (like these from Zara), or with heeled booties, depending on the weather.
When wearing a knitted dress thatβs plain and simple, everything is about the accessories you decide to wear it with. To make this outfit a bit more fun, I put on this chain belt to also accentuate the waist area. And I also used this super cute animal print bag! I kept it simple with the jewelry because of the chain belt. And to dress it down I just wore my FILA sneakers.

Also, a couple days ago, a girl who reads this blog emailed me and told me that she had received some vinyl leggings as a gift, but that she hadnβt worn them yet because they were shiny and she was being shy and felt insecure about wearing them. Anyways, just wanted to share this with you guys, because you should always wear what makes you feel your best. And remember that you make every outfit a thousand times better if you wear it with confidence! With that being said, sometimes going out of our comfort zone and wearing something we wouldnβt normally wear can be risky and scary, but just do it! 9 out of 10 times, it is worth it.
