For me the most interesting and fun thing about fashion is how it is constantly changing. There’s always new trends and sooner or later those trends always come back and are included and adapted to today’s fashion. So, when 2019 rolled in, I was so excited and eager to see what new trends there are going to be this year. It might be a little too early to talk about spring trends. BUT, it’s never too early to get shopping, am I right?
Suits
Suits for woman were big during 2018 and they’re definitely here to stay. This past year we saw suits in more earthy colors and plaid, and it’s safe to say that you can expect suits to be bold this spring. Don’t be surprised to see short suits and skirt suits, since they’ll be emerging this spring, also colorful and bright suits. I just think the idea of suits for woman is amazing. I’ve honestly always been kind of jealous of men because they just put on a suit and go on with their days. While it takes me at least an hour to match pants with a blouse and if it’s winter then I have to match everything to my coat and don’t get me started with accessories. With suits, there’s no more matching each garment of your wardrobe. You can simply put on one of these and start your day.
Barely-there sandals
You probably remember the comeback of the 90’s style in 2018 but it has, luckily, not disappeared completely. In other words, barely-there sandals are not walking away from us anytime soon and you can safely slip into your minimalistic flats from last year, knowing that they’re in this season. You can pair them with www.petalandpup.com.au flowy dresses.
Crafty pieces
And by that I mean everything that is crochet reminiscent or that looks handmade and crafty. With that being said, it’s safe to assume that basket bags are not going anywhere. Same with bucket bags and beaded bags. Also, this beaded bag from Zara is on sale right now, get it while you can!
Belt Bags
Okay, this trend is something we saw a lot of last year. And we’re going to see much more of it this year. Designers are experimenting with other colors, textures and shapes.
Oversized and Bucket Hats
It doesn’t matter if you love hats or not. This spring, they should be oversized and give the wearer a kind of diva-look which you’ll only top if you were to put on a pair of oversized sunglasses, as well. In general, it’s good to keep in mind that 2019 is not that far away from 2020 – and you can expect to see a lot of the styles from 1920 pop back around as a celebration of the era.
In contrast to the oversized hats, bucket hats will also be in this spring. I don’t know how I feel about this trend yet. But, I’m a slow transitioner so we’ll see… Check out these bucket hats and how to style them at www.fashionbeans.com.
Tie Dyes
I have to admit I never was a big fan of tie dye, but I think that might be changing this year. We saw a lot of tie dye on the runways this past year 2018, and while tie dye is going to be big trend this spring, it’ll be different than the tie dye we saw a couple years ago. Softer hues, like pastel hues, will be dominant, instead of those bright and very colorful tones. And I think I’m starting to like it.
And there you have it! These will be the most dominant trends this spring. Other trends, include one shoulder or strapless tops, boiler suits or utility clothing. The colors that’s going to be trendy this year are neutrals – earthy colors and neons.
